Haydon M&E carried out a Design & Build Mechanical and Electrical contract including plumbing and drainage works for ROK Build. A two phase development. Phase 1- DCC: 80 bedroomed residential care home, day centre and offices. Phase 2 EDHA : 45 bed sheltered accommodation with 12 key worker flats & 6No houses. As part of our “Partnering Ethos” and Innovative service considerable time was spent with DCC on the initial design to remain within budget. As part of the Governments commitment to reducing energy, Haydon on behalf of the Client submitted a grant application for funding to install energy saving equipment.( Albeit final funding was unavailable) This was only achieved by being involved at the start of the design development process.

Haydon M&E carried out a Design & Build Mechanical and Electrical contract including plumbing and drainage works for ROK Build A development of 60 apartments for the frail and elderly. (Phase 1) and Resource Centre(Phase 2). As part of our “Partnering Ethos” and Innovative service we saved the client considerable cost by retaining the existing main gas services supply pipework without the costly expenditure associated with major renewal. This was only achieved by being involved at the start of the design development process. Haydon also suggested alternative tap fittings which were more user friendly to the frail and elderly.

As part of our “Partnering Ethos” and Innovative service we saved the client over £30,000 by installing a Cold Water Boosted System(CWBS) as against upgrading the existing infrastructure and pipework supply system. This was only achieved by being involved at the start of the design development process.
