We make it our business to be aware of all the ways in which our personnel, professional partners, clients, project stakeholders and the local community could be affected by our work.
We plan meticulously and work as responsibly and respectfully as possible. We build in stringent health, safety and welfare procedures to ensure an incident and injury-free working environment, and do all we can to minimise any disruption to local people.
Being good neighbours is part and parcel of our culture and we work hard to build and maintain good relations with communities that are close to or affected by the projects that we work on. We involve local communities by inviting their feedback on projects and keep them fully informed at every stage. We also provide broader community support by taking on 15 new apprentices every year, giving them an opportunity to earn whilst they study for recognised qualifications and gain practical experience and skills.
We make health and safety a way of life rather than an add-on. We carry out extensive training for our people, ensure that our supply chain complies with our standards and constantly review our policies and processes. Our health and safety diligence goes beyond the confines of the site itself, and we do all we can to protect and preserve the immediate surroundings and the wider environment. Whenever possible, we also help clients and stakeholders lessen the environmental impact of their own activities by managing any evident risks and devising solutions that they can implement.
